Hai’an Road once lay submerged beneath the waters of the Taijiang Inland Sea. Over four centuries, the tides receded, yet the area remains bustling with a constant stream of people and vehicles. The artist employs cascading light to conjure the essence of water, weaving together notions of “ocean currents”, “river flows”, “human traffic” and “vehicular movement” into a circular installation. Through skillful gradation techniques, a spatial tableau emerges. By day, it shifts with the natural light, while by night, the luminescent flow perpetually cycles, as if traversing boundless realms of time and space, imparting a magical aura to the surroundings and igniting boundless imagination.
