This artwork draws inspiration from the meandering waterways of Anhai Port, situated at the southernmost tip of the historic Old Five Channels. Harnessing the abundance of natural resources from Tainan’s lush mountains and bountiful seas, the artist encapsulates the essence of the local landscape and its produce in five vibrant and exuberant hues: the golden yellow of Yujing Mango, the verdant green of Madou Pomelo, the azure blue representing the Old Five Channels, the rosy pink reminiscent of Jingzhaijiao fish pond, and the regal purple of Guantian’s Water Chestnut. These colors mirror the diverse cultural tapestry of the ancient city and its genial hospitality, infusing a joyous ambiance into people’s interactions.
